Project meeting in Osnabrück, Germany

From the 7th-12th of June students and colleagues from our partnerschools were invited to visit Schule an der Rolandsmauer in Osnabrück, Germany. In total 50 students and colleagues from all six schools met in the Youth hostel Schölerberg and had an extensive program of sporting activities the next four days. We practised rafting on the river Hase, geo-caching in the woods, rope climbing and archery in Kalkriese, swimming at Nettebad and water-skiing at Alfsee. The group mixed and got in contact very well. On Monday our guests were welcomed and guided multilingual at our school, in the afternoon we visited the city and had an official meeting with the Mayor Frau Jabs-Kiesler in the town hall of Osnabrück. In the so called "Friedenssaal" some students at their last days of school-life got their certificates, presents and were appointed to peace ambassadors in Europe.
The newspaper NOZ reported about the Comenius-project, please have a look at http://www.noz.de/lokales/73285298/niedersachsen-spaetstarter-bei-der-inklusion.

The next project meeting will take part in September at Bordeaux in France, we are very looking forward to meet our friends again! ¬

Schule an der Rolandsmauer practised new sports

This summer the students of the Europe-Club at Schule an der Rolandsmauer tried to make new experiences in different sporting activities. First we made a tour on bicycles to the Rubbenbruchsee in Osnabrück, then we played mini-golf.

A few weeks later we took some lessons on horseback with care of the horses before and after riding. We were able to hold well on the horses and could already train a little race. This was a lot of fun and we lost some fear of horses.
