A day at Nature School in Sweden

We are a group of pupils in Sweden, in a small place called Bålsta, close to the capital of Sweden, Stockholm. Our school is Gransäterskolan and our group is called Aspen. We´re working on a PowerPoint where we will tell all of you more about us. It will come soon. Now we want to share some experiences we have had this autumn.

Our pupils in grade 5 and 6 went to our municipality’s nature school, Vattunöden. It’s a place where classes can come and experience our beautiful and exciting nature. Two teachers are working there, taking care of the pupils and teachers for one school day. Two of our pupils want to share this day with you.

Vattunöden

One day, we were going to Vattenoden(I don’t know how to spell it on English exactly).
We rid a bus, and then we walked to a house, were we met some people. We talked a bit, and then my group walked with a man  who’s name was Olof. We walked trough the forest and came to a place were there was a house for 100 years ago. And Olof showed us a big cliff, and we had to be careful. He told us why the cliff’s name was Lastberget. Then Olof showed us in witch direction north, south, east and west were. All of us walked back to the house, and we picked acorn from the ground. Then Olof took the next group and another person took us to a fire, and we whittled a kind of toy, witch made sound.  I don’t know it’s English name. While we whittled, an acorn fell down on my head! I said:
Who’s throwing stones at me?!
After the toys, we ate lunch. It was delicious!
Then, one more person took us long into the forest. We made shapes of sticks. Then, we fed the sheep with the acorns, and we were on an adventure course.
Then we leaved. The end!
